Haas Secures Second Humana Challenge Title

Despite a bad drive on the par-5 18th hole, Bill Haas had just enough of a cushion to win the Humana Challenge. The $5.7 million PGA Tour event was played on three courses in California's Coachella Valley - the Palmer Private at PGA West (the host course and site of Sunday's final round), Nicklaus Private at PGA West and La Quinta Country Club.

Haas's Play Exceeds 'Expectations'

Bill Haas said after winning the Humana Challenge that his expectation level was low entering the tournament in California's Coachella Valley. But somehow, the 32-year-old North Carolina native and son of veteran touring pro Jay Haas cobbled together four rounds in the 60s and came out on top in the $5.7 million PGA Tour event.

Grace Nabs Sixth European Title

Branden Grace closed with a 6-under 66 to break a four-way tie entering the final round and win the Qatar Masters. The European Tour event, which had an unusual Wednesday start and Saturday finish, took place at Doha Golf Club.

Despite first-round leader Rocco Mediate following up a 6-under 66 with a 67, the was tied by Spaniard Miguel Angel Jimenez after 36 holes of the Mitsubishi Electric Championship. The $1.18 million event, the season opener on the Champions Tour, began Friday at Hualalai Golf Course in Hawaii.

Jimenez Takes Mitsubishi Electric Championship

Occasional Champions Tour player Miguel Angel Jimenez of Spain fired a 6-under 66 on Sunday to win the Mitsubishi Electric Championship, the 2015 season opener on the over-50 circuit. The 54-hole, $1.18 million event took place at Hualalai Golf Course in Hawaii.
